Introduction

Information Communication Technology in Education

ICT Stands for "Information and Communication Technologies." ICT refers to technologies that provide access to information through telecommunications. It is similar to Information Technology (IT), but focuses primarily on communication technologies. This includes the Internet, wireless networks, cell phones, and other communication mediums.

In the past few decades, information and communication technologies have provided society with a vast array of new communication capabilities. Worldwide research has shown that ICT can lead to improved student learning and better teaching methods. A report made by the National Institute of Multimedia Education in Japan, proved that an increase in student exposure to educational ICT through curriculum integration has a significant and positive impact on student achievement, especially in terms of "Knowledge, Comprehension", "Practical skill” and "Presentation skill" in subject areas such as mathematics, science, and social study.

However, you can see that there are many education technology solutions provided in the world which may cause confusion among educators about how to choose the right ICT solution.

This blog is created to cover the module "Information Technology in Education" which i am currently studying in my course (Bachelor of Educational Administration (honors). This blog gives information about Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint which is very useful for educators including teachers and students. When entering to these areas, visitors will get more information about calculations using excel spread sheet and its functions, referencing using Microsoft word, how to create e-forms and PowerPoint tools for preparing excellent presentations.
